Advent is the period of preparation before the birth of Jesus.  The Four Advent candles represent joy, hope, love and peace and what Jesus meant.

The children were all enthralled as Mrs Stallard lit the candle and explained to them what it symbolises and asked them to reflect on what they hope for in the coming week.
