The children loved hearing about his adventures at sea.  They also enjoyed handling a variety of artefacts such as a telescope, compass and boat building hammers.  After mailing their own pirate hooks at the Yound Salcombe Centre, they caught the South Sands Ferry to spend the afternoon on the beach.  What a lovely day!
