Welcome to Malborough with Huish Church of England Primary School

At Malborough we believe that the educational foundations put into place in your child's primary education are of paramount importance - children only have one opportunity. Our aim is to maximize those opportunities so that all children leave Malborough with South Huish Primary School with confidence, self belief and motivation, having achieved their personal best academically.  We have high expectations and aspirations for all of our children, aiming to inspire children to enjoy their learning and encouraging everyone to be “the best they can be in pursuit of excellence”. We are aiming to develop positive attitudes to learning in order that all of our children become independent, resourceful learners for life.

As a church school we also believe that, as children are the citizens of tomorrow, they need to develop good relationships with their peers and the staff so that they can go out into the world and be tolerant and understanding of others.  Our school ethos and aims reflect the Christian values that underpin our working lives at Malborough and form the framework which adults and children alike, respect.

We believe that learning should be fun!  We aim to provide a range and variety of teaching and learning experiences which children will find both interesting and rewarding.  To this end, we often invite visitors to the school and organize planned visits out of school to ensure that the children have access to the wider community.  We also approach the curriculum in a cross-curricular way so that learning experiences for the children are both relevant and purposeful.

Come and see us......   You are welcome to arrange a visit – come along and see our warm, friendly staff and children, who will be pleased to welcome you.
